A digital ledger consists of immutable, digitally recorded data organized in blocks. Each block is securely linked to the next through a cryptographic signature. Ethereum, being a public blockchain, is accessible globally, with its distributed ledger synchronized across numerous nodes. These nodes collectively determine the validity of transactions before consolidating them, along with other valid transactions, into a block through a consensus process.
